How long have you been CrossFitting? Year and half

 

What keeps you coming back? Wanting to do better than I did the day before, and knowing I always have people there to push me when I doubt myself.

 

How did you find CrossFit?  Facebook- joined the boot camp classes in 2016.

 

What is your athletic background? I have always been very physically active, I was on the Dance team high school and also ran track a little, and into adulthood with very physical jobs.

How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle

and level of fitness? I feel happier, I have less back issues and I am starting to see the changes I wanted in my body.

 

Is there something you have done here that you never thought you could do? Lift weights in general after having major back surgery where they fused my L5 and S1 vertebra together.

What motivates/inspires you? Staying in good physical health to be able to enjoy my active lifestyle with my husband, my kids, and one day my grandkids.

 

Name one goal/personal achievement that you would like to achieve through CrossFit. I really want to be able to back squat my weight!

 

What goals have you achieved in CrossFit? Gaining my muscle tone back, and, I competed in a CrossFit competition and finished the whole thing.  

 

Hobbies/interests outside of CrossFit: traveling with my husband, spending time on our Harley, and just enjoying my 4 dogs at home.

Tell me about your diet:  I have never been a big sweets or snack person, or was one that loved breads and pastas, so when I really looked at what was making me gain weight, I realized it was the fried foods and eating fast food. So now, I eat very little fried foods, and couldn’t tell you the last fast food I ate, I do not drink soda, and eat very little sugars. Thankfully I love fish and veggies and I try to eat that as much as possible. I do indulge on weekends at times, but we try to only eat out once a week.
